Twelve checks to run every quarter to keep your AI visibility healthy.

AI visibility is not a one-time fix. Bots change behaviour. New crawlers appear. Robots.txt drifts. Schema breaks. Content goes stale. Run this 12-point checklist every quarter on every important domain. Takes 20 minutes per site.

Technical (4 items)

1. Run the AI Visibility Check. Note your score. Compare to last quarter's score.

2. Verify robots.txt allows the bots you intend to allow. Common drift cause: a CMS update reset robots.txt to defaults. Re-add your bot rules.

3. Test a homepage load with View Source. Confirm content is in raw HTML, not rendered only by JavaScript.

4. Validate schema.org markup. Use Google's Rich Results Test. Schema sometimes breaks after content updates.

Content (4 items)

5. Add one substantive piece of content this quarter - 1,500+ words, unique data, clear structure. Build the cumulative content asset.

6. Update your top 3 most-visited pages. Fresh dates, fresh data, sharper headlines.

7. Identify content that no longer reflects current reality and either update or retire it.

8. Add FAQPage schema to your most common customer-question pages.

External signals (4 items)

9. Pitch one guest post to an industry publication. Inbound links from already-crawled sites accelerate inclusion.

10. Check your Wikipedia/Wikidata entries. Update if outdated. If you don't have one and might qualify, plan the work.

11. Audit your social media bios. Consistent description, URL, brand name everywhere - helps AI disambiguate.

12. Submit/resubmit your sitemap to Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster. Both feed downstream AI knowledge.

The cadence

Block 20 minutes the first Monday of each quarter. Open this checklist. Run through it. Note what changed. Schedule fixes in your work calendar. Done.
